Reliability Analysis
SEA provides you with reliability predictions (MTBF), system availability, and software reliability analysis that will satisfy the requirements of Telcordia, FDA, ISO or NASA/DOD standards. We can also help you establish product support strategies that will maximize your reliability image in your marketplace.
Reliability Prediction Analysis
SEA can provide reliability predictions that allows you to understand how parameters such as temperature, stress, part quality, packaging and environment come together to influence product reliability and how these can be modeled to determine how each effects system uptime.
To give you the most accurate prediction of future performance we have enhanced the typical MIL HDBK 217/Telcordia SR332 methods for predicting reliability. The result is a more realistic view of the expected field reliability.
System Reliability Analysis
Using state of the art modeling techniques, SEA provides product engineers and managers with system reliability analysis that show how redundancies, switch over times, repair strategies, fault detection, reboot and recovery time can be modeled to understand how each component effects system outage probabilities.
We also provide our clients with a user interface to the model in order for them to explore sensitivities to reliability, configuration, redundancy and repair strategies. To make the user interface as intuitive as possible, we try to visually match your hardware configuration.
Risk Assessment
Application of risk assessment analysis provides you with the knowledge of how your product can fail and how failure affects the user. FMEAs, FMECAs or FTAs can be performed to any of the MIL, FAA or Medical requirements. It can be used as an effective tool to enhance your product’s reliability, availability, safety, or diagnostic effectiveness.
Using application sets developed around historical data analysis within a specific software development organization, SEA can enable you to more efficiently manage your software development by:
- Estimating the total test time for a software configuration
- Estimating the time remaining to reach a predetermined level of quality
- Estimating the cost/risk of releasing a software configuration at any point in time
Software Reliability Analysis
Using application sets developed around historical data analysis within a specific software development organization, SEA can enable you to more efficiently manage your software development by:
- Estimating the total test time for a software configuration.
- Estimating the time remaining to reach a predetermined level of quality.
- Estimating the cost/risk of releasing a software configuration at any point in time.
SEA's reliability analysis programs provides the following benefits:
- The most comprehensive, competitive reliability analysis available
- The insight on how the reliability of your product stacks-up against the competition or your customer's requirements
- The ability to demonstrate how well the redundancy built into your product contributes to customer availability
- The ability to identify those components of your product design that are most sensitive to meeting your reliability goals
